The mystery of love is greater than the mystery of death
Back from Latitude Festival.
My highlights were:
- Lykke Li, again
- Ben Moor performing Coelacanth in the woods
- Bishi accompanying the screening of the 1923 silent film Salome (starring Nazimova – see video, above)
- Jeffrey Lewis in the poetry tent
- The poetry tent in general is coralled with skill and energy by Luke Wright – props due
- Thom Yorke solo set on Sunday afternoon
- Regina Spektor
- Watching Been So Long – a play by Che Walker – at 1am
Hmmm, that was interesting. Looks like somethings will always remain mystery.
I myself have been trying to solve the mystery of this legend for a while now. Could not understand much though.
Let me know in case you get to understand the mystery of the Old Hound and the Legend
By the way, good writing style. I’d love to read more on similar topics
Bishi was great – I found out about Salome when I went to her set the night before. I think she was the most interesting performer I saw – I avoided obvious people like Thom Yorke etc (partly because he was so disappointing when I saw him Manchester, partly because I wanted to find new people…) Che Walker is a dude. I came this close to working with him a few years ago.
