Upcoming events

24 June – The Betsey Trotwood

I’m doing some poems at the New Poets Festival, organised by Roddy Lumsden – a weekend of poetry from new/young British poets held in London’s most poetry-friendly pub. I’ll be reading as part of ‘Poetry of the Unexpected” section alongside Lorraine Marriner and Holly Pester, I think. Exact time to be confirmed, but the Festival will be going on all afternoon. This bit has been put together by the lovely Chrissy Williams. I hope to read some new work.

26 June – Southbank Centre

As part of the enormous Poetry Parnassus project, the Southbank Centre have curated a day of talks, debates and the like called the World Poetry Summit. I’m talking on a panel about Tradition vs Innovation alongside SJ Fowler (Chair), Katerina Iliopoulou (Greece), Christodoulos Makris (Cyprus) and Rocio Ceron (Mexico). Should be interesting. The discussion is 10.30am but there’s stuff going on all day.

6 July – The Eden Project, Cornwall

Not quite sure what this will be yet, but I am doing some poems or possibly an installation of some kind at The Eden Project. It’s part of their Biotik Stage. I’m doing this as part of a big new year-long project I’m doing with climate change organisation Cape Farewell. About which, more later.

  1. I’ll see you at the poetry summit! I sadly didn’t manage to get the student ticket but thought it would be worth the money, plus I want to be there for when the helicopter releases poems! Hopefully it’ll be a nice day weather-wise too.
